What to pack for camp

Overnight camps

• 2–3 short-sleeved T-shirts
• 1 long-sleeved T-shirt, for cool evenings and sun protection
• Shorts
• Light summer trousers
• Light jacket: evenings in the mountains can be chilly
• 4–5 pairs of socks
• 4–5 sets of underwear
• Wash bag: toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush and a shower towel
• Mosquito repellent
• Bag or pillowcase to keep belongings together
• Trainers suitable for walking and hiking
• Flip-flops or sandals for around camp

Tip: ask the camp whether bedding is provided or your child should bring a full set.

Outdoor day camps

• Change of clothes, especially socks and underwear
• Swimwear and goggles
• Wet bag for damp things
• Towel
• Sportswear and breathable clothes
• Plasters or a small personal first-aid kit

Indoor day camps

• Comfortable clothes that can get messy (paint happens!)
• Notebook and pencil case
• Indoor shoes, if the camp asks for them
• Cardigan or light jacket for air-conditioned rooms
