Public schools close by late June 2026 and reopen in early September, giving children about 10 weeks of summer break. This period is ideal for enrolling in summer camps, exploring language programs, art workshops, or sports academies.
Planning Tips for Parents:
- Be sure to book summer camps early, e.g., April or May is the ideal time to secure your spot, especially for popular or unusual (extreme) programs.
- Consider choosing different locations or types of activities than you would in summer. These cooler seasons are perfect for nature-based camps.
- Also, keep in mind the mid-week public holidays like 1 October, 28 October, and 25 March. These are great opportunities for a day of fun, whether it’s rope parks, hiking, horse riding, or other outdoor adventures that don’t require a full week commitment.
